The role is paying up to £35,000pa + benefits and bonus and the organisation offers hybrid working, 3 days on site per week. Your new role
In the role, you will work in the IT services function to provide technical knowledge & second line support to end users within the organisation. You will support users across bespoke application set up & integration whilst also training and supporting them. You will work closely with the service desk but also support in IT project delivery in line with the organisations strategic plans.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will need to have worked in a similar application support / technical support based role. You will need to have excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach. You must also have good time management skills and be able to work in a dynamic, high-volume environment. Exposure with Excel, specifically using multiple data sources within pivot tables, would be beneficial, as would experience using Microsoft Central dynamics 365 business Central. Exposure to ITIL standards & frameworks would also be beneficial. If you have experience with point of sale solutions & applications, that would be advantageous.

Main Duties:

Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.

Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.

Head of ERP Systems Admin

The role sits within the ERP Division of Digital Services and leads the Enterprise Resource Planning System Admin team reporting to the ERP Services Director.

This is a great opportunity to be pivotal in delivering maximum value for National Highways from its investment in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions through to leading the ERP system administration team to deliver a service that is stable, secure, performant, and robust.

This position can be based at any National Highways main office locations and will offer a balance of remote and office-based work.

What you’ll be leading on

Lead the ERP Technical system administration function and provide overall technical leadership and technical direction of the ERP service.
Lead the technical development, technical assurance, and technical approval of improvements to the ERP service ensuring changes are fully impact assessed, against the current ERP configuration to deliver service integrity and performance.
Overall accountability for change within the ERP Service ensuring robust change management best practices are followed including technical assurance of system developments including representing the ERP Service in projects where they affect or interface with the ERP service.
Support the ERP Services Director and ERP Strategy Implementation Manager in developing the future ERP strategy and business cases.
Represent ERP in technical discussions with other divisions of Digital Services (e.g. cyber security, Solution Architecture etc.)
Provide leadership in all technical assessment and change delivery ensuring changes to the ERP service and interfaces are properly assessed and implemented to ensure system performance and stability.
Represent the ERP service in meetings and projects to manage technical and change risk in delivery and integration. Accountable for the technical approval of system change to deliver a system that is robust, secure, controlled and causes minimal business disruption.
Support the ERP Services Director & ERP Strategy Manager in the development and delivery of future ERP strategy for greater exploitation of available technologies.
Providing leadership, line management and support to colleagues within the function

To be successful you’ll need

Extensive experience of technical leadership of ERP Systems and leading IT Change Management and IT support functions
Expert technical knowledge of ERP systems, specifically Oracle Fusion Cloud (Financial, HR and procurement modules)
Demonstratable experience in leading the operation of business-critical services with a focus on Continual Service Improvement leading to better business outcomes
Experience in presenting complex technical issues and influencing at a senior level up to and including Director level
Knowledge and experience of IT process best practice, and IT change management. (e.g. ITIL) Functional / Technical Skills
Extensive experience of leading System Administration Teams.
Knowledge of Software as a service (SaaS), Platform as a service, (PaaS) and other cloud technologies including
Experience of integrating and securing software as a service (SaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS) applications into wider IT environment

Technical Ensure that equipment supplied by ACT is safe to use and in good repair by performing the annual maintenance checks. This involves a careful visual examination of the device, its accessories and the mains connections and cables, a functional inspection followed by an electrical safety test to confirm that the device meets the Statuatry Electrical Safety Testing requirements and completion of the clinical review questionaire . To conduct unaccompanied visits to clients to inspect existing equipment. These environments are often cramped and occasionally unpleasant conditions. This could include schools, hospitals and nursing/care or the clients home. This could be shadowed by trainees or other healthcare professionals on occasions. Withdraw equipment, where appropriate, from the client's environment this may require contact with carers of recently deceased clients. Identify and resolve basic faults on complex equipment. Be able to use electric safety testing equipment, and hand tools requiring fine precision, eg screwdriver, tweezers, hammer etc Maintain and manage their own levels of stock (eg chargers, batteries etc), to be carried with the post holder when out on visits to clients home. Assist, by setting up equipment and providing technical support in the delivery of training by ACT clinicians to students, professionals and members of the public. Professional To work under the direction of the senior technician and liaising with administrative staff to plan the visit timetable and reschedule in response to changes. To make accurate detailed entries in equipment management system (BEST) and electronic patient record (RiO) of all work performed and in line with trust guidelines and UK data protection requirements,of all equipment tested for clients and ACT use. To use appropriate equipment documentation and training information for clients, carers and other professionals. To complete other administrative tasks within the workshop as necessary, including record keeping into the ACT Information systems and for statistical purposes, filing, copying etc. Be able to communicate with other professionals within ACT, relaying appropriate information including some clinical information, to the appropriate people.

Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer

My client is a leading provider of M&E building services engineering and facilities management, providing a high specification client base with tailored and bespoke technical engineering solutions.

A Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer is required to carry out PPM, servicing, fault finding and reactive/breakdown repairs to air conditioning systems & equipment to include VRV, VRF, Splits, Cooling systems and AHU & FCU within a number of commercial/corporate buildings & industrial facilities located throughout the West & East Midlands areas.

In addition to the air conditioning aspect of the position the successful candidate will also carry out monthly PPM/general building services tasks to include fabric maintenance, plumbing & emergency light tests.
