Kilcoy Global Foods currently has permanent opportunities for Maintenance Fitters to join our team in a fast-paced, 24/7 beef production environment. Work environments will vary from agricultural, production, refrigeration, coal fired boiler and rendering.

YOUR RESPONSIBILTIES 

Preventative and breakdown maintenance activities, with a strong focus on a preventative approach.
Contribution of ideas and input to improved systems, procedures and maintenance.
Engage with the production team to optimise the performance of all equipment on a daily basis.
Assist in capital and continuous improvement projects as directed.
Maintain a strong focus on health and safety.
Understand the urgent nature of the business and manage competing priorities.
Prioritise urgent repairs of equipment.
Understand the importance of troubleshooting and problem solving.
Coordinate and collaborate with contractors as well as other departments regarding reliable maintenance of the various sections of the plant.
Ensure compliance with relevant rules, regulations and legislative requirements in the workplace, including quality controls.

Trade qualifications – Certificate III in Engineering as a minimum.
Experience in Maintenance Fitter or Fitter-Mechanic role in a manufacturing environment.

The Candidate

• An accomplished Engineer with a experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ideally, you hold a degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Possess a Green Belt certification in Six Sigma.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Engineering Change Management principles.
• Proven track record in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and lean manufacturing techniques.
