Your new company
Your new company will be a Financial Services organisation with a twist, they're here to service their customer's needs and promote financial wellbeing over making profit. Nearing 30 years in operation, they've supported over 20,000 customers with fantastic reviews. They're now in the market to add a Finance Assistant to their team, with the responsibility of the creation, collection and allocation of Direct Debits, downloads and verification of payroll files and the processing of daily payment run for share withdrawals and loans.
Your new role
This is not a usual Finance Assistant role due to the nature of the organisation, but will provide a varied workload. The duties of the role include the generation, collection and allocation of weekly and monthly Direct Debit runs, downloads and verification of payroll files and processing of daily payment runs for share withdrawals and new loans issued whilst ensuring all verifying criteria and bank details are correct. The individual must ensure the confidentiality of records in order to meet GDPR standards and liaise with external auditors and provide information and reports where necessary. Other duties may be given as directed by the Finance Manager or Directors.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for the role, you ideally will have experience in the collection of funds utilising various methods, the ability to update journals and understand finance systems for processing. If you have any experience with loan collection, direct debit management / Go Cardless knowledge this will be a big benefit, as will any understanding of payroll deductions. There will be the need for IT literacy and good Excel skills. Lastly, good communication / customer service skills are needed,
