Your new role
The post holder will provide leadership and direction for the Supplier Quality and NPI function and work closely with the wider Quality and Supply Chain teams in supporting supplied quality to our build lines, and assisting with the introduction and development of the supply base. A key focus area for this role will be new product introduction to ensure we build in supplier quality from the earliest stages of the process.
Hours of work:
7.30am - 3.30pm Mon - Fri. There is some flexibility with start and finish times.
37.5hr week
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally we would like to see candidates with significant experience in Supplier Quality Assurance, including AS9100 and ISO9001 standards experience. You will have a Degree in an Engineering related discipline and/or relevant work- related experience. Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time as required. Experience working with customers, regulators and suppliers. Strong leader capable of working successfully in a matrix organisation, as part of a cross-functional team to drive impactful results. You will have experience in working with a global supply base, in particular in low-cost regions.

Search are currently working with a well known contractor in the North East. We are looking for candidates who have a Stores Operative background 3 years stock control experience in Metalwork Fabrication or Construction Industry is required. You will be responsible for maintaining the supply and demand of inventory and ensuring that there are adequate stocks available for production and job demand. You will be working closely with contracts managers and reporting to the Materials Controller and Fleet and Procurement Manager. You have
You will be responsible for; (the job duties)
* Receive and inspect incoming materials according to established quality control and ISO procedures.
* Acting as first point of contact for our customers and suppliers.
* Stock picking from Cutting Lists & BOMs.
* JIT issuing of stocks into production.
* Contribute and support with stock and ISO audits.
* Ensure the integrity of stock accuracy is maintained and that all discrepancies are fully investigated and resolved.
* Work flexibly and respond to changing demands, adapting to new work routines and practices accordingly.
* Work with Contract Managers to ensure job specific stock is ordered and available on a daily basis.
* Raising and processing of all relevant paperwork relating to the movement of materials dispatched and passing onto relevant departments.
* Loading and unloading vehicles.
* Monitor stock levels and plan requirements in line with projected usage, raising purchase orders where required.
* Ensure all computer records are accurately administered in a timely manner.
* Raise Non-Conformance reports as required.
* Transport - carry out van handovers with operatives to company procedure, also receiving/checking of hire vans.
* Auditing of Vehicles & Facilities, H&S compliance inspections of Plant & Equipment.
* To adhere to all Hodgson Sayers Policies and Procedures.
* Respond to any general support requirements, which may relate to facility issues, transport department or general administrative.
To be considered for this job you must have; (the certificates / cards)
* 3 years stock control experience in Metalwork Fabrication or Construction Industry.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Experience of using Materials Resource Planning (MRP) and/or ERP system.
* Knowledge of inventory control practices.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Good interpersonal and analytical skills.
* Ability to prioritise workload and adapt in a fast moving environment.
* Full clean driving licence.
* Counter balance fork truck licence - essential.
